Moto Guzzi Museum Visitor Regulations

1. Scope of Application and Access

These Museum Regulations apply both inside the Museum building and throughout all visitor-accessible areas. Access to the Moto Guzzi Museum site is permitted only to persons authorized by PIAGGIO & C. S.p.A., including visitors to the Museum, the café, the shop, and guests attending any event, collectively referred to as "visitors".

By entering the Museum premises, visitors acknowledge and agree to be bound by the Moto Guzzi Museum Visitor Regulations. Children under the age of 14 may enter the Museum only if accompanied and supervised by an adult.

Visitors are permitted to access the exhibition areas only during the Museum's opening hours and upon presentation of a valid admission ticket or other authorization issued by PIAGGIO & C. S.p.A. Other areas, including the café, the shop and adjacent public spaces, may be accessible during opening hours without an admission ticket. Special regulations may apply to certain events.

Visitors must leave the Museum at the end of the published opening hours.

Opening hours and admission fees are determined by PIAGGIO & C. S.p.A. and are available at the ticket office and on the Museum's official website.

Purchased tickets are non-refundable, except where otherwise required by applicable law.

For reasons of safety, operational requirements, maintenance, protection of the collection, or force majeure, PIAGGIO & C. S.p.A. reserves the right to restrict access to or temporarily close part or all of the Museum without prior notice.

2. Use of Facilities and Binding Instructions

Visitors use the Museum facilities at their own risk. They must comply with all instructions given by Museum staff, particularly in the event of an emergency or evacuation. A copy of the Emergency Plan is available at the ticket office.

Visitors are strictly prohibited from touching any vehicles or exhibits on display. Instructions and prohibitions displayed on information panels are equally binding and must be observed.

3. Visitor Facilities

The Museum provides the following facilities:

  • Ramps and lifts.
  • Safety signage.
  • Wayfinding signage.
  • Visitor rest areas.
  • Lighting and climate control designed to ensure both the conservation of the exhibits and the comfort of visitors.
  • A range of visitor support resources, including exhibit labels, information panels, touchscreen displays and video projections.
  • Visitor assistance for guests with specific accessibility requirements (available upon request).

4. Responsibility

A responsible adult must inform the ticket office staff if accompanying a group of children or young people. The accompanying adult is responsible for supervising the children or young people at all times. Failure to fulfil this responsibility shall result in liability for any damage caused, in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.

5. General Rules of Conduct

All Museum visitors are required to comply with the following rules of conduct:

  • Ticket validity: Admission tickets indicate the allocated entry time and are valid only on the date of issue. Visitors arriving later than their booked entry time must follow any rescheduling instructions provided by Museum staff. Once validated, tickets are not valid for re-entry and are non-transferable.
  • Behaviour in the exhibition areas: Visitors must not touch the exhibits, climb on, stand on, sit on or lean against display platforms, vehicles, exhibition structures or any other display installations, unless expressly authorized by Museum staff. Any damage or costs resulting from the activation of security alarm systems shall be borne by the person responsible.
  • Visitor routes: Visitors must remain on the designated visitor routes. Access to restricted areas, crossing barriers or safety fences, obstructing emergency exits, running, climbing, sitting on or leaning over balustrades and exhibition structures is prohibited. Handrails must be used when using staircases.
  • Waste disposal: Please use the waste bins provided throughout the indoor and outdoor areas.
  • Green areas: Walking on lawns or damaging trees, flower beds and plants is prohibited.
  • Visitors with reduced mobility: The Museum is accessible to visitors with reduced mobility and to those using pushchairs or strollers.
  • Lockers: Bulky items, umbrellas, helmets, backpacks and large bags must be left in the lockers provided. The locker service is free of charge. Lost property will be kept for a maximum of 30 days.
  • Baby changing facilities: A baby changing station is available in the accessible restroom on the ground floor.
  • Smoking: Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes, is strictly prohibited. Open flames are also prohibited.
  • Food and beverages: The consumption of food and drinks is not permitted within the Museum premises, except during authorized catered events.
  • Lost property: Any lost property found must be handed in at the ticket office.
  • Animals: Only guide dogs and certified assistance dogs are permitted inside the Museum. Dogs on a leash are allowed in the outdoor areas.
  • Bicycles, roller skates and skateboards: These are not permitted inside the Museum buildings or within the Museum's outdoor areas.
  • Furniture and fittings: Furniture and furnishings must be used only for their intended purpose.
  • Public order: Gatherings, political demonstrations and any activities that may cause disturbance or endanger public safety are prohibited.
  • Dangerous items: The introduction of weapons, blunt objects, spray cans containing harmful substances, fireworks or similar hazardous items is strictly prohibited.
  • Drugs and alcohol: Admission may be refused, or visitors may be required to leave the premises, if they appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Smartphones, tablets and electronic devices: These devices are permitted provided they are used respectfully. Playing audio at high volume is prohibited. The Museum premises are monitored by video surveillance.

6. Photography and Video Recording

Amateur photography is permitted, and visitors are encouraged to share their photographs on digital channels using tags associated with the Museum.

Photography and video recording of production, industrial, technical, logistics and warehouse areas are strictly prohibited unless prior written authorization has been obtained from PIAGGIO & C. S.p.A.

Professional or commercial photography and filming require prior authorization from the Museum Manager. The use of drones is prohibited unless prior written authorization has been granted.

7. Limitation of Liability

PIAGGIO & C. S.p.A. shall be liable only for damages caused intentionally or through gross negligence, without prejudice to liability in cases involving death or personal injury as required by law. PIAGGIO & C. S.p.A. accepts no responsibility for items deposited in the lockers, except in cases of wilful misconduct. Any person who improperly activates the Museum's alarm or fire protection systems shall be liable for all resulting costs.

8. Reporting Damage and Complaints

Any complaints or reports of damage must be submitted to the Museum Management through the ticket office staff before leaving the Museum.

9. Advertising and the Offering of Goods or Services

The sale or promotion of goods or services, as well as promotional activities, surveys or signature collection within the Museum premises, requires the prior written consent of PIAGGIO & C. S.p.A.

10. Temporary Exhibitions and Events

These Regulations also apply to temporary exhibitions and events organized or hosted by the Museum, unless otherwise specified through regulations or notices communicated to visitors.

11. Rights of the Property Owner

PIAGGIO & C. S.p.A. reserves the right to remove from the Museum any person who violates these Regulations, enters restricted areas, causes disturbance, or fails to comply with the instructions of Museum staff. Museum personnel are authorized to exercise these rights on behalf of the Company.

PIAGGIO & C. S.p.A. also reserves the right to amend these Regulations at any time. The version published at the Museum and on the official website shall prevail.

Admission to the Museum constitutes full acceptance of these Regulations.
